The research project Ontology-based Competencies Management in Information Technology, acronym CONTO, is carrying on in the frame of the Partnerships Programme, a program developed by the National Plan for Research, Development and Innovation II, in the period 2007-2013, the main instrument through which the National Authority for Scientific Research (NASR), implements the National Strategy for RDI.

The project CONTO is part of Field 9 - Socio-economic and Humanities Research Directorate 9.1 - New methodes of research management, marketing and entrepreneurship development for organizational competitiveness, research topics 9.1.1 - Knowledge-based management.

The research project aims at the general merits of a new approach based on ontology management competences in information technology companies, and achieve a competence management system based on ontologies to be experienced by one of the consortium partners.
